What’s Involved
- Coordinate Area Managers
- Manage delivery through change, growth, or disruption
- Support workforce and leadership development across the construction organisation
- Drive continuous improvement, standardisation, and lessons-learned adoption across programs
- Act as the primary construction interface to Commercial, Planning, Engineering, Supply Chain, and senior program leadership
- Provide strategic oversight of progress, risk, opportunities, and constraints across the program
- Establish and govern integrated program schedules
- Chair and govern program level reviews and recovery planning
- Set and enforce program wide standards
- Own end to end construction delivery for assigned programs
- Hold overall CAM accountability for program level labour and material cost performance
You’ll Need
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the shipbuilding or aligned industry.
- At least 5 years in senior production or program roles.
- Strong leadership and people management capability.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and decision-making skills.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Proficient in production planning tools and Microsoft Office systems.
- Understanding of project management principles including Earned Value Management.
- Significant experience managing construction activities within shipbuilding or heavy manufacturing.
- Experience working within Defence or highly regulated environments.
- Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance and familiarity with ITAR regulations (desirable).
